Antonia Wechner

Antonia Wechner, born in Galtür, Austria, currently lives and works in Vienna. During her several years of photographic training in Graz, the artist developed a passion for abstract photography. The focus of her work lies in the effect of colors and shapes, detached from the necessity of conveying a concrete motif or message. The aim is to allow viewers to fully concentrate on the visual structures of the images, without being preoccupied by interpretations or meanings. The artist thereby creates spaces for aesthetic reflection, in which the perception of lines, shapes, and colors comes to the forefront.
