Max Lanzinger

I was born in Landshut (Bavaria) in 1989 and have lived in Vienna since 2014. While I have been active as a musician and producer in electronic music for some time, I only started painting in 2022. As a self-taught artist with a focus on abstract painting, I have developed my own approach to capturing and preserving spontaneous emotional expression in my works. With their dynamic compositions and strong color contrasts, my paintings offer plenty of room for individual interpretations.

Analogous to the coincidences in the artistic creative process, as a psychologist, I am interested in unconscious psychic contents and momentary experiences that converge into a whole on the canvas. Since 2023, I have been working in a shared studio in Vienna's 5th district and am a co-founder of the cultural association "Haltestelle," which organizes exhibitions, readings, and concerts, among other things. In addition to painting, I also engage in frame building, photography, and installations.
