Julia Groß

Julia Groß was born in southeastern Styria in 1993 and graduated in 2012 from the HBLA for Fashion and Garment Technology in Graz, specializing in fashion design. After stays abroad in Montreal and France, during which she worked for various designers, she completed two master's degrees in psychology and applied ethics. Her creative approaches are as diverse as her career, ranging from canvas paintings and illustrations to mixed media collages. Thematically, she is deeply involved in exploring the human condition. This is found, on the one hand, in an artistic exploration of the body and outward appearance, and on the other, in the depiction of the everyday in its particularity. The reflection on human origin and the transience of being is artistically staged from an ethical-psychological perspective, where vulnerability and weakness are allowed to exist for themselves and receive appreciation.
