Luna Maluna Gri
Luna Maluna Gri (*1999) is an Austrian multimedia artist who lives and works in Vienna. Since 2022, she has been studying Transmedia Arts (Jakob Lena Knebl's class) at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
In my work, I explore themes of memories, memory processes, the search for identity, and all the emotions that arise during these processes. I deal with loss and rediscovery (of oneself, who one wants to be, what is important to one, how one wants to shape one's life, freedom,...). I examine the spaces we create and live in (emotional, physical, personal, and societal), and connected to this, the questions 'What kind of life do we want to live?' and 'What kind of world and coexistence do we want to create?', with a special focus on feminist themes. I value moments of being, the process of change, and the fragility of life. My goal is to evoke emotions in people, to encourage them to reflect, to question their learned beliefs, and to broaden their perspectives.
