Bug Chair 209 I
Exclusive 12-colour fine-art (Giclée) print on high-quality 200g paper.
Our prints are available in various sizes - perfect for any wall. And the best part: they fit into standard frames, so you can easily choose your favourite frame. Watch out: the print comes to you without a frame.
This fine art print on high-quality paper not only upgrades your walls but also supports the artist Lisa Močnik in Southern Styria 🥳
The Thonet bentwood chair No. 209 is heavily abstracted through a wild, imprecise brushstroke. Details are lost, yet the character of the form remains. The color red enhances its expressiveness.
The work is part of the "No Chair" series. The idea for the series came from the artist David Hockney's quote: "A chair is a chair is a chair." For me, the question then became interesting: when is a chair NOT a chair? The answer: as soon as it is merely an abstract motif. Perhaps the crowning glory of a furniture cycle.
